Benefits Zone 102: Session 4 - Texting Employees Follow
Benefits Zone 102
Texting Employees
To wrap up this module, we’ll look at another great way the Benefits Zone solution helps you engage employees and drive enrollments. Last session we looked at how system tags can help prioritize your follow-up activity, and in this session we’ll take a look at how those tags can trigger follow-up text sequences.
Texting is an extremely popular form of communication, and it’s one of the most effective. We take advantage of this by coordinating messages to employees. Messages may be prompted by the automatic system tags we reviewed last session or they may be simple reminders to download the Benefits Zone app to review benefits offerings and contact you, their agent.
Initially, employees will receive text messages prompting them to install the Benefits Zone app so that they can review their coverage options. These messages will be sent throughout the Open Enrollment period.
App Invitation Example
{{First_name}} - A message from [employer_name] HR: Easily access your benefits resources with our new app. Get it here: {{app_link}}. It’s full of useful information and you can use it to enroll by X/XX
Once employees install the app, messages are sent on your behalf to help drive employees to schedule an appointment with you if needed.
Agent Message Example
Hi {{first_name}}, it's [agent_name] - I work with Aflac and the [employer_name] HR team. I'm reaching out to offer my assistance during enrollment and answer any benefits questions. Act now before your enrollment ends on XX/XX. Need help? Call me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX or schedule an appointment here: [schedule_link]
Though the text message templates are all very similar, there may be slight modifications based on the employer. Specific messages for each case are available for your review through your administrator.
